Horizon Fitness Grand Prix

By Hannah Rich - Horizon Fitness Racing Team

I was really excited to be going to Stoke-on-Trent to race at the Tour Series as it's a really big event and a good opportunity! The whole team was really excited and we all had really good morale going into the race! To be riding in Stoke-on-Trent was amazing with our Horizon Fitness sponsors being based there!

We all rode around the course to get a feel for it, and it was good riding as a team as we could test the corners to see how fast we could get round them! We lined up on the start line and had a good team plan, and right from the start we all stuck to it and the race was going really well.

Attacks were going, and then my Horizon Fitness team mate, Helen Wyman told me to attack coming out of the bottom corner, so I did. That killed me, and Hannah Barnes flew past me, and that's when Dani and Helen got away so all was going really well. Dani then was off the front by herself so things were perfect for the team, and all of us worked really well together. We knew Dani had the win in the bag, so it was all down to the bunch sprint, and we got 6 in the top 10 so can't really complain about that can we? The team rode really well together, and it was a really good race... FAST!

I loved it!

I'm now really looking forward to the nationals next weekend, and riding with the rest of the girls again.
