Recently...

In May I travelled to Shoreditch, London, for a photo shoot for In Style & Zest magazine. The shoot was for part of a Sensodyne product promotion. I have been trialling Sensodyne Pronamel toothpaste and mouthwash, and have given feedback on the products. To promote the products further, Sensodyne has been featured in fashion magazines.
I stayed in a nice hotel overnight and then headed to the photo shoot location the next morning. The studio was in a very cool place and was very stylish inside. The day's shoot was in the Loft studio. I was very excited and apprehensive about the day ahead. I felt like a real model for the day!
The first shoot I did was a sporty shoot; running and cycling photos. For the cycling shoot, I rode my Kona mountain bike and wore Sweaty Betty sports apparel. For my running shoot I wore American Apparel clothing. I was hoping to be able to wear my Horizon Fitness kit, but clothing companies had supplied the clothing for the shoots so it was not possible. It was all very exciting and slightly intimidating to begin with, until I got used to being in front of the camera and not feeling self-conscious. The camera guys were really friendly and laidback, which made it easier to relax and have fun. It is a lot harder than I thought, smiling all the time. Definitely a tough job to do full-time!
My favourite part of the day was doing the fashion focused shoot. The make-up artist did some great make-up on me; very bold and stylish, and I wore an elegant jump suit. I was very excited to see how the photos looked.
It was rather a long day and really quite tiring! I'm not sure I could do that everyday, even with my cycling stamina! But it was great to have all my make-up and hair done, and wear some great clothes. Perfect girl's day out really! And I am really happy to have had such an exciting experience. :-)
