Q: What is the difference between Peak Rating and Continuous Duty Motors in treadmills?
A: A Continuous Duty Motor, as found in all our treadmills, gives a smoother delivery of continuous power regardless of the speed and the weight of the person using the treadmill. The higher the horsepower of the Continuous Duty Motor the higher the torque rating, ensuring a longer motor life at all levels. “Peak” HP rating is not a measurement of the motor's average performance but is the maximum operating capability. When choosing a treadmill we would recommend that you compare the Continuous Duty Motor HP ratings rather than the Peak rating.
Q: Why are your flywheels at the front on your elliptical trainers?
A: With the flywheel at the front you get a smoother, more fluid movement and the weight load is directed to the ground and not to the flywheel. It also makes it easier get on and off the machine.
Q: What is the difference between a semi-recumbent bike and an upright bike?
A: Semi-recumbent and upright bikes use different muscle groups during your workout. Semi-recumbent bikes have the excellent advantage that your back is always fully supported while using the machine and are often suggested for people who have back problems, but it is just as important to remember that the user with a perfectly healthy back may want to choose a semi-recumbent.

A: All equipment is delivered flat packed, making it easier to carry upstairs before assembling. Q: What are elastomers?
In our treadmills elastomers of varying softness/thickness are strategically positioned between the deck and the steel frame to reduce impact stress while exercising. A softer elastomer is used in areas where your foot strikes the deck to provide more protection where it is needed most.
